PENGABDIAN KEPADA MASYARAKAT DESA PAL IX TENTANG PENGETAHUAN GIGITAN HEWAN

Abstract

Animal bites are a major problem for both children and adults and cause more morbidity and mortality worldwide. There are reports of deaths from bee stings, with 40 to 50 cases per year. Anaphylactic reactions were reported during the 5 year observation period and 15% of all cases were due to bee stings. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the knowledge of the people of Pal IX Village in handling animal bites. This research method uses a descriptive method and data collection for this research instrument uses a questionnaire that is distributed directly using written media and uses a Guttman scale. The sample used in this study was 92 people from Pal IX Village. The sampling technique in this study used a probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. Based on the data obtained by all levels of knowledge of the Pal IX Village Community about handling animal bites from 10 statement indicators, the criteria for good knowledge were obtained with a percentage of 70.7%. Based on this survey, it can be concluded that the knowledge of Pal IX Village community about Handling Animal Bites already has a good knowledge category.
