PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN KERIPIK NANAS DAN UBI JALAR BAGI IBU-IBU PKK DI KELURAHAN SETAPUK BESAR KECAMATAN SINGKAWANG UTARA

Abstract

North Singkawang District has more pineapple and tuber plantations such as sweet potatoes than other sub-districts. Often pineapples are only processed into pineapple jam, while sweet potatoes are only made as snacks in the form of fried foods by the surrounding community. Some people, especially Setapuk Besar Village, North Singkawang District, have not made good use of the processed pineapple and sweet potatoes. Therefore, this PPM activity really needs to be done in order to provide knowledge to the community, especially the Family Welfare Development (PKK) women in Setapuk Besar Village, North Singkawang District to be able to take advantage of processed pineapple and sweet potato for making pineapple and sweet potato chips using vacuum fryer. This activity is also expected to provide input and more economic value to the processed pineapple and sweet potatoes. The method of activity used in this PPM includes theory and practice, which is explained from the raw materials of pineapple and sweet potato in processing chips using a vacuum frying tool to become a basic need for knowledge about the benefits, objectives, treatment methods and work procedures in using a vacuum frying tool. . In order to support the training of processing chips using a vacuum frying tool from pineapple and sweet potatoes, a hands-on experience activity is needed in the form of practice.
