Abstract

Punggur Kecil Village, Kubu Raya Regency is one of the largest coconut producers in West Kalimantan. Every family in Punggur Kecil Village on average has a fairly large coconut garden. Each household that gardens has 280 coconuts. Punggu Kecil Village, which is the location of AKFAR Yarsi's PKM, was chosen because each village is ± 15 KM from the city center of Pontianak. People used to sell plantation products in the form of grain or copra at low prices. Local people also used to process old coconut into oil by heating process. Lack of skills and technological limitations are the reasons for the lack of coconut innovation.
This activity aims to increase skills and income, as well as increase the opportunities for business expansion of plantation communities in the two villages. This activity was carried out by holding training, training on making VCO with yeast fermentation and heating methods, training on making soap with the Hot Process method, as well as packaging and marketing VCO and soap products. After this determination training, it is expected to produce a number of processed products from coconut and increase people's income from coconut plantations.
