PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN SABUN DENGAN METODE SAPONIFIKASI SEBAGAI UPAYA PENANGGULANGAN COVID-19 DI SEKOLAH DASAR HADI SAKTI KELURAHAN BARETAIS KECAMATAN SANDUBAYA KOTA MATARAM

Abstract

The need for hand soap during the Covid-19 pandemic is very high for the community. This is related to the implementation of health protocols in various activities, especially in learning activities at school. The Covid-19 outbreak has disrupted the learning process in schools, so various medical devices are needed in the school environment, one of which is soap. The saponification method uses chemicals that do not harm the skin, so that training in making hand soap needs to be carried out by teachers to prepare health protocols for students before carrying out learning activities. Hadi Sakti Elementary School as a partner has not implemented training in making hand soap as a simple effort to overcome the Covid-19 outbreak in the school environment. In overcoming this problem, the proposing team conducted soap-making training to improve the skills of teachers and students in the health sector as an effort to overcome the Covid-19 outbreak for themselves and the school environment. The training programs implemented include; (1) Explanation of material regarding soap making training. (2) Training on the steps of making soap, and (3) the practice of making soap using the saponification method. This training can reduce the cost of buying soap that is used every day to wash hands before doing learning activities.
