PENGENALAN PHBS (PERILAKU HIDUP BERSIH DAN SEHAT) CARA MENCUCI TANGAN SEJAK DINI DAN EDUKASI OBAT BUKAN PERMEN DI SD NEGERI DEMANGAN YOGYAKARTA

Abstract
Introduction to hand washing and use of medicine needs to be done to elementary school students. Students at SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta have never received socialization on how to wash their hands and knowledge about medicine. This activity aims to increase health awareness through the introduction of hand washing practices and understanding of medicine to grade 2 students. The methods used are interactive lectures, practical simulations, and providing educational games.
Community service activities on the introduction of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) from an early age and education that medicine is not candy were carried out at SD Negeri Demangan Yogyakarta in 2022. Students were able to practice the steps for washing their hands correctly and understood that medicine must be used according to the rules, not carelessly like candy. This activity involved the active participation of lecturers from the S1 Pharmacy and S1 Hospital Administration Study Programs, students, teachers, and parents.
The conclusion of the activity showed an increase in students' knowledge about the correct steps for washing their hands, as evidenced by the difference in average pretest and post-test scores of 3-5 points. This education plays an important role in forming healthy living habits from an early age, as well as introducing the profession of pharmacist and the importance of proper use of medicine to the community. Support from various parties contributed to the success of the activity, which is expected to be a model for similar programs in the future.
