Abstract
Natural antioxidants can be produced from vegetables, flowers, fruits, rhizomes, stems, fruit skins that can inhibit the occurrence of degenerative diseases and can inhibit lipid peroxidation in food. Findings such as ginger, temulawak, turmeric and lemongrass can be useful as immunomodulators (increase endurance). Fruits and vegetables from mango, watermelon, cucumber, carrots and broccoli have many health benefits as natural antioxidants. The purpose of this community service activity is that a real effort is needed to socialize and educate the community, especially groups with less educational and economic backgrounds to better understand the benefits of herbal plants, fruits and vegetables as immunomodulators. The activity was carried out by means of lecture methods and question and answer discussions, the activity was held at the Pal IX Village Hall and attended by 30 PKK mothers of Sungai Kakap Subdistrict, Pal IX Village, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan Province. Participants were very enthusiastic in receiving the material so that many asked questions that were open discussions and shared daily experiences in utilizing herbal plants to maintain health.
